Our Foundation is named after Roxanna Todd Hodges, who was a community leader in Santa Monica, CA for 34 years until her passing on August 11, 2011. The wife of Santa Monica Judge, Tom Hodges, Roxanna gained prominence in her community by volunteering her time with the Soroptimist Club International, the Assistance League of Santa Monica, PEO international of Santa Monica, and the YWCA of Santa Monica, as well as her church. The later years of Roxanna’s life could have been more fruitful had she been aware of the warning signs and symptoms of stroke from an earlier time, as she experienced several strokes in 1994-2005 that ultimately left her confined to her bed. Although debilitated from Stroke, Roxanna became active in the Stroke community and devoted the final years of her life to raising awareness of America’s number 1 leading cause of disability, and 4th leading cause of death: Stroke……..
