Ayesha Thakkar:
Hi everyone, heard from an acquaintance who had been paralyzed on the right side that they tried hijama/cupping in Mumbai and saw great flexibility and ability to move after 4-5 settings. We’re contemplating whether this is really possible for stroke patients or not. Checked our website forum topics but didn’t see any posts so wanted to check if anyone has heard any good/bad feedback on hijama/cupping as a possible treatment for paralysis for stroke patients? Thank you in advance!

Interesting. Above some more information.
How many days post-stroke was cupping started on your acquaintance Ayesha ji ? What was the type stroke, how soon was the correct treatment initiated and was physiotherapy/ speech therapy discontinued while cupping was on ?
All these will make for a more comprehensive anecdotal evidence. Would appreciate if you can find and share this data too.
Divya Laxmi:
Sir these therapy work well for musculoskeletal problems. There is less evidence of cupping therapy

Thank you! Yeah I read the same post so wasn’t convinced that it would work and hence wanted to check if anyone has had any success.
