[5/20, 4:08 PM] Bharti Dhankani: I need guidance on what AFO or foot-splint is being used by others here for foot-drop.

[5/20, 4:35 PM] Dr. Charmy Chheda: Is the foot flaccid or low in tone or the calf muscle very tight so accordingly can guide you

[5/20, 4:35 PM] Dr. Charmy Chheda: Any movement present at the ankle??

[5/20, 4:54 PM] Bharti Dhankani: Flaccid to be precise..no problem of high tone

[5/20, 4:55 PM] Bharti Dhankani: Passively I can move it through full range in all directions but very less voluntarily movement

[5/20, 4:56 PM] Bharti Dhankani: Calf muscles are not spastic

[5/20, 4:57 PM] Dr. Charmy Chheda: Then a static afo but tailormade if possible to your size and just that it can be used inside the shoe or sandal that you use

[5/20, 4:59 PM] Bharti Dhankani: I had a ready made plastic kind from amazon but found it uncomfortable and unhelpful I lifting the foot up during swing phase

[5/20, 5:02 PM] Dr. Charmy Chheda: True see if u can get carbon fibre one or thermoplastic material

[5/20, 5:06 PM] Anchal Mittal: I would suggest Ossur or Ottobock AFO. But buy it from authorised dealer only. I have shared this earlier as well, my husband is currently using Ottobock foot splint and custom made shoes from DAB shoes.
