Being a physiotherapist seeing adult neuro patients..i feel as said correctly correct movements and handling is the answer to the stroke deficits
Electrical stimulation i don’t support much except used as a biofeedback method to encourage movement.
Mainly bcoz..
1. How is the sensory status of the patient on the part when electrical current is used. As we have seen patients with superficial and deep electrical burns.
2. Also just about 10 or 20 minutes of electrical stimulation in the 24 hours and then not using the limb correctly as guided will not serve the purpose and neither keep the muscle build

Many physiotherspists are not recommanding the electrostimulation, saying that it increases the muscle stiffness permanantly, which causes trouble to patient in later stages. Is it true or it is case sensitive?
