Stroke Support India is foremost Patient Support Group for Brain Stroke and its various aspects in India with a stated mission of ” Raising Stroke Awareness and Supporting Stroke Survivors and Families”. Via its Telegram / Whatsapp groups and Social Media pages, it presently reaches out to more than five thousand people interested in Stroke treatment.
We are now developing panel of public minded stroke treatment experts who are happy to address various inquiries of our Group Members.
Here is how it works:
- Each Expert has a Webpage on this Website with a short profile and contact details. Link to a form is also provided therein using which any of our Group Members can raise a query with background information for the expert.
- Stroke Support India receives inquiry from a Querist using this form and forwards the same to the Expert, with contact coordinates of the Querist for further direct contact by the Expert if need be.
- The Expert responds to Stroke Support India within seven days of receiving the query.
- Both the Query as well as the Response of the Expert are published on the Expert’s page. At the time Link or more details will also be provided in our Support Group the Querist is a member of. They may also be repeated in our Newsletter and other Social Media pages. Audio/ video clips may as well be added if provided by the Expert. It is made clear that the response is prima facie, is not to be taken as medical advice specific to the Querist’s case or any other case, and that the Querist must take proper advise from a nearby Treating Doctor / Expert as the case may be.
- The Panel is periodically changed, per requirements and activities.
Some of the Experts we seek include:
- Neurologists and Neurosurgeons
- Interventional radiologists
- Physical and Occupational therapists
- Speech and Swallow therapists
- Psychologists or psychiatrists
- Gastroenterologists
The Experts are not paid any remuneration for their advice. However they have the good wishes and blessings of all stroke affected ???
