ABOUT KATI
* Kati’s life changed forever when, in 1995, when she was just twenty years old, she had a stroke which took away her ability to move and speak and left her entirely paralyzed – locked in. She has a condition called Locked-in Syndrome (LIS)
* However, her determination, strength of character, and spirit soared, as she learned to surrender to her circumstances, flourish, and live a meaningful life. Her first goal had been to survive. Now she empowers others to not just survive, but to thrive against any odds.
* And she found love, meeting Henning on the Internet in 2009. The couple got married in 2012.
* Kati is an Author, Speaker, Blogger, Vlogger, Model, Former board member of Cogain, Ambassador for Miss Wheelchair World, and honorary Ambassador/Vice-President of SpecialEffect UK.
