Striving stroke affected people are not only survivors, they are warriors in the truest sense ! Here is a collection of some such Warriors Videos ( including some of our WhatsApp Group members) . Also included are some videos of people making exemplary recoveries from other debilitating maladies affecting limbs.
Indeed the indomitable human spirit has great potential. May these videos serve to inspire all stroke survivors to become warriors and make strong and determined efforts towards their recovery.
If you are also amongst Indian stroke warriors similarly striving, let us hear from you ! You can join our Whats App group to share, or inform via this link and we will get back to you .
Sonal Goregaokar – with Hope and Acceptance
Sonal suffered a massive brain stroke while climbing to the Everest Base Camp. She was in coma for several days after that. But her will power and determination lead to an excellent recovery- and an inspiration for all Stroke Warriors as well .We are very happy to have Sonal in our WhatsApp Group as well.
Arthur’s transformation , based upon Yoga !
Arthur Boorman was a disabled veteran of the Gulf War for 15 years, and was told by his doctors that he would never be able to walk on his own, ever again. …..
His story is proof, that we cannot place limits on what we are capable of doing, because we often do not know our own potential. In less than a year, Arthur completely transformed his life.
If only he had known what he was capable of, 15 years earlier !
Do not waste any time thinking you are stuck – you can take control over your life, and change it faster than you might think. Hopefully this story can inspire you to follow your dreams – whatever they may be. Anything is Possible!
Rajesh Arora, a brain stroke survivor recounts his recovery from Aphasia
It has taken Rajesh about four years determined efforts and as he says” It is a slow process but definitely has an end result, you have to keep patience and practice speech everyday. Speech therapy helped me talk in Hindi and English well. I can communicate at simple sentences today because of aphasia rehabilitation given by speech therapist.”
We are very happy to have him in our WhatsApp Group as well.
Siva using the chopping block
Siva is also a great example of determined efforts and recovery thereupon from stroke, and doing whatever one can with what one has. He is a great motivator in our WhatsApp group. In his own words, his story is at https://www.bheeman.org .
Igal’s story hereunder is another great example of recovery from Aphasia
I will be adding more here as we go along. If you are a Stroke Warrior in India I hope above serves to inspire you to strive for recovery. It’d be great to feature you here as well some day ! Get in touch, and keep striving !
